Malcolm Gluck wrote, "German Riesling is the world's most sublime white". We couldn't agree more ... and we're in good company! The Rieslings of the Reichsrat Von Buhl estate consistently receive praise and points from Robert Parker's Wine Spectator. A leading German wine publication lists a Von Buhl bottle amongst the Best 100 Wines in the world, and their top releases sell for #150 a half bottle. The estate was established in 1849 by Franz Peter Buhl, a member of the Bavarian parliament. In the 1920s it passed to its current owners, the von Guttenberg family. Crafted from organic grapes, this stylish Riesling is luscious and zippy with a delightful echo of peaches and pears. Thoroughly appetising with almost any food, from poached salmon to roast chicken to cheese and fruit - even Indian and Thai curries.
