From the outstanding 2017 vintage and scoring 94/100 Parker points, “There are just 8,000 bottles of the stellar 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape from the brother-and-sister team of Frédéric and Caroline Charrier. Mainly sourced from the sandy portions of la Crau (sud), Cristia, la Guigasse, la Pointu and Saint-Georges, this is almost all Grenache, with a sprinkling of other permitted varieties, matured in concrete. Rose petals mark the nose, paired with raspberries and cassis. It’s full-bodied, yet airy, delicate and silky at the same time, with the flavors flowing easily across the palate and into a long, spice-accented finish.” Drink now – 2028.
