Bourgogne Aligoté ‘La Vigne de Marie-Louise’, Famille Gueguen. Aligoté has been cultivated in Burgundy for over 200 years and is at its best in the Bourgogne Aligoté appelation. Power couple Céline and Frédéric grew up immersed in the world of winemaking and continue their family legacy today.Their style of wines is deliberately modern with a commitment to respect and expression of the terroir’s identity. One of the main goals is to preserve their soil, which is why they use neither chemical fertilizers nor herbicides. Vintages from 2015 onward have been made using exclusively organic processes and the Domaine began its conversion to organic farming with its 2019 vintage. A dry, light and powerful wine with aromas of white fruit, vine peach and white flowers. Very fresh, elegant and full of character, it presents a nice acidity. This is a very versatile wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes. It is especially good with middle-eastern or mediterranean mezze dishes such as Tabbouleh, creamy bean dips and stuffed vine leaf dolmades. It also works well with seafood like calamari, or white fish dishes..
