Tenuta Moraia ‘Organic’ Vermentino 2024, Maremma Toscana. Maremma Toscana is an appellation covering a wide array of wine styles from the province of Grosseto in Tuscany. Located in the west coast, benefitting from the sea breezes, Tenuta Moraia is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, near the ancient village of Gavorrano. The maritime influence, smooth landscape and warm weather makes it an ideal growing climate and guarantees long and consistent ripening surrounded by impressive biodiversity. The grapes are harvested at the end of August to preserve the delicate floral notes and the wine is then aged on the lees for three months with bâtonnage. This is a rich and refreshing Vermentino with a bouquet of floral aromas and subtle hints of fresh herbs. It delivers a slightly mineral flavour and a lightly salty finish. It’s the perfect pairing for grilled fish, fried calamari or spaghetti vongole..
