Established as a cooperative in 1959, Cantina Clavesana is the leading producer of Dolcetto and Dogliani DOCG in the Langhe – but quite clearly, they also turn out a very fine Nebbiolo. Their cellar staff consists of two winemakers, one of whom has been with the winery for 22 years. Expect soft aromas of spice and brushwood carrying on to a persistent, savoury mouthful. There’s plenty of tannin here too, which is perfect for pairing with heftier dishes. With so much going on from the moment it’s uncorked, you’ll want to relish every last drop..
